I was 3 days in London because I had different things to do with my dad but I still, of course, managed to pop in a department store and buy some few stuff.

I wanted to test out the L’oréal palette nude in beige that looked a lot like the Urban Decay naked palettes. The price is a lot cheaper and the quality is really good for the price but I have to say that they are not as pigmented and as blendable as the naked palette but I overall was happily surprised because L’oréal doesn’t have the best reputation for eye shadows. I also wanted to try the L’oréal Infaillible 24hr matte foundation. This foundation is one of the best I have ever tried especially if you’re struggling with oily skin. I applied it at 9:00 am and wore it until about 11:00 pm, during those hours I walked around sunny London, took the train, airplane and back home to Switzerland and didn’t have to touch up once. The longevity of this foundation is amazing but of course if you are not looking for a matte finish, this is not the foundation to use. Still from L’oréal I tried the L’oréal extraordinaire liquid lipsticks in rose finale. Nothing amazing about this “liquid lipstick” which felt like a regular gloss in the lips and had a color that wasn’t anything extraordinary.

I also bought the Sleek blush in rose gold which apparently is a dupe for the Nars blush in orgasm. I never tried the Nars blush but was very satisfied with this one. The color is very natural and the shimmer gives a beautiful glow to the skin.

I own a lot of Real techniques brushes, so I had to buy the new Real Techniques Bold Metals. The design is so pretty and the brushes have an amazing quality. I tried to contour bush and powder brush and thought they were very effective at blending and were perfectly proportioned for my face.

Finally, I had to buy another of my well worn fragrance, Chanel n5. A classic which might seem like a more mature scent but changes a bit of my skin. I love the fact that it smells so fresh and that it lasts such a long time. I also think it a very classy scent.
