Already one month of the summer season gone..how long will this beautiful weather last? I have tried quite a lot of new products this month but only fell in love with a few.  I have to start with a summer staple which is the Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer oil free. It’s light on the skin but if you need more coverage you can build it up. I find it best applies with a damped sponge, then you need to set it with a fine translucent powder and you’re good to face the hot weather.

I probably already mentioned it but a new Urban Decay counter opened up in Manor in Geneva….which is a first since you couldn’t buy Urban Decay in Switzerland before so I was able to get my hands on a couple of products. I have been loving the Urban Decay eyeshadow in Rockstar because this color makes every green eyes pop like crazy and because I love deep grungy purples. Urban Decay Afterglow 8 hour powder blush in Score was also a great find. I always struggle to find blushes that goes with my skin tone but this one is just the right amount of peach and pink and has some fine shimmer which adds a glow.

I’m almost out of my beloved Bobbi Brown bronzer and decided it would be time to try a new one. Mac Give me sun bronzer is a very orange bronzer which goes very well with my skin tone at the moment since I’m on the tanner side plus it has a bit of shimmer and like you probably realized by now that’s my thing.

I was on the hunt for a good hydrating and most of all cheap eye cream. Let’s face it eye creams are often over priced and you get a tiny miny bottle which is ridiculous plus I figured I’ll have plenty of time to spend my money on amazing eye creams when I’m 50 and have actual wrinkles…For now, all I need is a soothing eye cream that I can use after taking off my eye makeup and La Roche Posay Toleriane Ultra eyes is just what I was looking for. In addition it has a pump which is sooo much more sanitary than the usual small pots.

I’m always on the look out for awesome mascaras and that’s when I met Max Factor MasterPiece glamour extensions 3 in 1 mascara. Like the name says it, this mascara make your eyelashes look like extensions, it has a tiny brush which I love because you get not clump and tones of control. I even wore it in Mykonos while swimming and honestly thought I had taken the waterproof formula by mistake  I hate waterproof mascara, it’s a pain in the ass to take off) but no it just has an amazing wear and is still easy to take off.

Just found your blog and I really enjoyed this post! I used the LM tinted moisturizer for awhile before all the BB creams became really popular 🙂 I’m looking for a good drugstore mascara to try when I run out of my current stuff, so I may check out the max factor one when the time comes. Hope you have a chance to check out my blog as well, and looking forward to your future posts!
