I am finally getting around to sharing with you my favourites for this month. I know everyone says it but I actually can’t believe it’s already the end of November and soon Christmas and New Year!!?
I actually bought the Burberry, Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Base this summer in Paris because I love adding a luminous primer during that time of the year but I’ve recently been using it again even though we’re in the middle of winter! I just find that as I’m getting paler it adds a bit of a natural tan and glow to my face so that I don’t completely look like a zombie…Plus since it’s a primer, it makes my foundation apply and wear very well. I’ve been staying away from heavy silicone primers as I’ve realised they clog my pores but since this one is a fluid, it feels very light on the skin. Another of my makeup love this month is the very popular Becca x Jacqlyn Hill, Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Champagne Pop. I finally got around to order it online after shattering my beloved Becca highlighter in opal and I have to say it’s probably the best highlighter I’ve ever tried. If you’re looking for that highlighter that will make your cheekbones pop like crazy, try that one. However, if you’re into the very natural highlighter this might not be for you. Finally, I’ve been on a hunt for amazing liquid lipsticks this month and the Jouer, Long-Wear Crème Liquid Lipstick in Noisette has to be one of my favs. I love the natural brown colour, love the application and the wear. It doesn’t feel too drying on the lips which is a key thing for liquid lipsticks.
This month I’ve been wearing the Jo Malone, Dark Amber & Ginger Lily Cologne. I think it’s a perfect wintery smell. I especially love the dark Jo Malone bottles because they are scents with a bit more precious ingredients and I feel like they have a bit more character. A great addition to that is that the wear is dramatically improved compared to the normal Jo Malone which is essential for me because I don’t like reapplying my perfume throughout the day. I love that when I come home from a long day I can still smell it on me.
My Saint Laurent, 5 Fragments Zip Pouch in grey has changed my life recently. I know you might be thinking that it’s a bit dramatic for a card holder but trust me it does all the difference, especially if you live in a big city. I always use to carry around huge wallets that were a struggle to open but since I’ve been downsizing my bags, I decided to try out a card holder. The Saint Laurent one is not like a classic card holder because it has 5 slots and a zip pocket, which is amazing because you can have all your card and carry some cash with you or even your keys in the zip pocket. It basically makes everything more compact. Not only that but it’s easy to get my cards out and I actually don’t have to get out my oyster card and can just swipe the whole thing when I’m getting on the tube. My other fashion discovery this month is my Ellie Beaumont, Oxford Large Black Nappa Leather watch. Ellie Beaumont is a London brand that exudes British Sophistication. The watch has that classic vintage look that has been very on trend recently. It was a great statement piece for me throughout this month.
The last thing is my new customised marble phone case. I have an obsession with marble everything as you can tell…My desktop picture is marble, my iPad background is marble, my iPhone background is….marble, I basically love marble everything. I found this case on amazon and I thought it was nice that I could customise it with my initials. It was very cheap and I thought at first that the initials would rub off, but I haven’t taken it off and been using my phone like crazy as always and I’m not kidding it looks brand new.
See you soon
